Diaper Disaster
For the second morning in a row, Ian has taken his diaper off inside his pajamas and pooped. Luckily, Curt discovered it today and is cleaning it up. Yuck!
oh no! Is this a growth-spurt thing (as of today - now! - the diapers do not fit, disasters to follow!) or a new toddler see-what-I-can-do trick? There are so many things that parenting books, or even years of babysitting practice, will simply not warn you of! I guess the good thing is, this is a learning experience for him, accidents in diapers are icky. Won't it be nice when he is ready for the potty?
I think I need to get up and change him quickly and that will solve the problem. The other thing in common these past two mornings have had is that I've lingered in bed instead of getting right up and changing him. At least it was footed pajamas (from the Bio Shop in Maadi) so it was contained.
I've been putting him in a disposable at night since we've been here and using cloth during the day and I do think he may be ready to move up to the next size in the disposables.
Where is the Bio shop? I have had such poor luck shopping locally that I have about given up. My kids are TALL and skinny, with big heads and very slender feet. NOTHING fits! ;-D Thank goodness for APO. (And for the Children's Place and Old Navy with adjustable-tab-waist pants!) Ah well, good luck with the diapers. Not fun, but poo happens (:-)
It is in Maadi on the side where the CAC is. I think that if you turn at the Green Mill it is on that road. You have to go down some steps to get into it. If you are coming from the Green Mill, it will be on the right. It has some organic food, products and clothing. Most of it is baby/toddler, but there are some things for bigger kids. You will probably have more luck with Honor than Brian. They do have underwear there. The brands are Under the Nile and Sckoon (sold online in the US) and then some German organic cotton brands.
There is also a Bioshop near the Maadi Drycleaner (the one where the scary halloween font) on the other side of Maadi.
