Hello, I don't know you, but I was wondering if you could tell me where a nice (fancy-ish) baby store is in Seoul. I'm teaching in Korea and a fellow teacher is having her first kid, so I'd like to get her something nice (not just regular department store stuff). Sorry for hijacking your blog, your kids are cute. Please tell me if you know a good store...

Hi Robin,

I don't shop off-post that much. Most of my friends use G-market or go to places like Namdaemun market to buy clothes.

http://www.gmarket.co.kr to buy baby clothes.

The fancier department stores like Shinsegae have lots of Korean and foreign brands. Individual brands have stores like Agabang, Pas a Pas, Allo & Lugh, Premier Jour, Happyland, Alfonso, Elle, Four Lads. If you go to their websites you can find the locations if you can read Korean or have a friend help you. I haven't been , though. The New Core (I don't know if that is spelled correctly) outlets have a lot of those stores.

Good luck! If you find something good, post back to let me know!

Thank you very much for all of your suggestions, they were very helpful. In the end I went to Agabang and got her a rattle set.
I never found a baby boutique-type store, but I'll let you know if I do.
Happy New Year!
